Our Family Vacation

A week in sunny Florida - two children who loved the water and playing together - yummy seafood - daddy off work - sleeping in every morning - beautiful white sand...we had a wonderful vacation in Destin last week. Here are some of my favorite pictures...


We had a WONDERFUL trip...playing and resting all we wanted. We just missed our little guy. We left the Bear home with grandparents. We missed him terribly, but he had a good week getting lots of attention! What an amazing week!! Don't you love summer family vacations?

Splash pad

Tonight is catch up night on downloading pictures - end of the month process. We just returned from a vacation to the beach...so, you will be overwhelmed with pictures of the kiddos in the sand pretty soon...maybe tonight, if I can stay awake. But, I did want to put a few pics of my 3 at the Splashpad from a couple of weeks ago. SO FUN with our good friends! We had a blast and are heading back tomorrow actually...hopefully to have just as much fun and to stay cool...My big guy had a great time figuring out how all the water contraptions worked, how to efficiently spray/use the most water...all boy, all day, all the time...love that kid!
Sassy girl enjoyed herself also - she strutted all over that place with her little buddies.
Even Bear enjoyed getting wet to stay cool...he hung out with his little friend, Hannah. She is so ittybitty and a week older than Bear...so funny! What could make the day better? Ice Cream!! From the ice cream truck! Yeah!! S sure was happy!!!

A Tennessee Weekend

Last weekend, we headed to Ocoee, Tennessee with our good friends, the Gastons, to check out cabins and the river for planning purposes of a future Sunday School men's trip. Eric and Matt thought they needed to check out the facilities before planning the guys' getaway weekend. So, "we loaded up the truck and we moved to Ocoee..." (couldn't resist that little tune..sorry).

The cabin was perfect for our group - four adults and five children (we left the bear at home with grandparents). The lake was so fun for the kiddos to swim in, and the creek was an awesome play spot! We had a great trip with great friends!

VBS!!!

What a week! We had an awesome week of Vacation Bible School! Yes, we are all exhausted. Yes, we had lots of fun. I taught C's completed kindergarten class and really enjoyed hanging out with my big guy all week. I know I am prejudiced, but he is a pretty neat kid. I kinda like him...This is him competing in a water game...nothing like VBS recreation! This is him at snack time with his buddies. We had such a sweet class, and he was so excited about his friends being with him all week. Now, Miss S had a great time also - her favorite being her music class. She has been dancing and singing these VBS songs all week... every motion with such spunk! And, she too, loved seeing friends all week long...sweet girls. Of course, I was an angel all week...well, at least during the re-enactment of Mary not finding Jesus in the tomb... And, my kiddos were pretty pumped about Family Night! They just make me smile!
VBS is a hard week. It is such a great week. We enjoyed every minute! And, now we nap...

the start of summer

The start of summer has brought us lots of rain...yet LOTS of fun! We played with friends at a nearby creek/park. Oh, how those littles loved catching fish and splashing around with their buddies... Our Bear learned to sit...he loves his new found freedom! And, here, he was doing his "growl" that earned him his nickname...
Miss Priss learned to swim...well, not really....but, she took swimming lessons. We hope that they kick in soon (no pun intended). And, our oldest,...well, he is more of a 6 year old boy everyday...give him an apple and peanut butter...you get a beard and cap...never a dull moment... I am sooo excited about summer! I love hanging out with these little people!!
