that's my bear

That is him. My Bear. He is the funniest, most compassionate, most loving, and craziest kiddo.

He makes his mama smile - ALL the time!

Well, most of the time.

Not so much at 5:30 am, when he YELLS "MOMMM, tange my diiiipeeeeer! I got poopoos!"

And, not so much, when he throws himself on the floor screaming when he really wants his brother's legos and I have taken them away.

And, well, not so much when he REFUSES to hold my hand crossing the street, which then forces me to pick him up, which puts us back to the screaming on the ground again.

But, when he apologizes for bumping into you while he is driving his cars,
when he says "luv u, mama",
or when he says "I do it I-self, peeez",
even when he says "I no like it rite now" when having a meal,
or when he wants to "sit by yooo" -
now, those moments bring some big "LOVE ME SOME BEAR" smiles.
And, they happen all the time. Yes, ALL the time!

showing the LOVE

She squeeeezes them and just luuuuvs them soooo much!! And, they love her sooo much she can hardly stand it! Just showin the love (with a little pizza sauce on the face)!

Yep, that was what I got when I had my Valentine photo shoot. Just keeping it real.

My Marathon Runners

The Mercedes Marathon hit a couple of weeks ago. And, my two oldest had been practicing and training at school for months. They were to run the final mile of their marathon on race day. Even for February, it was the coldest day we had had BY FAR!! We froze! But, we had a good time experiencing a little of the race day fun!

a playdate Saturday

What happens when two mommies find themselves at home with three children each and daddies at work? A playdate! Yep, we definitely needed to gather the troops and attack the day - at the park, then the library, then back to our house. I would say that we defeated that January Saturday's no-daddy blues!

the end of the basketball season

My oldest finished up a great basketball season a couple of weeks ago. We had awesome coaches - you know the guys that teach, encourage, and get to know the kids. We were blessed to get a couple of those. And, we had some pretty neat guys on C's team for him to play with too. He had such a good time and really enjoyed basketball. He is getting to the age where figuring out how the game works really intrigues him. Their team placed third - what a fun season! Have I mentioned I love being my eight year old boy's mom? I do! These two continue to be big buddies! And, at the gym, they are each other's playmates.
