feed my starving children
Our church held an amazing service project - one that requested over 1500 volunteers to feed 300,000 starving children. Chicken, Veggies, Soy, and Rice were added to bags then sealed to mail to Haiti to feed children there. I was amazed at how much fun we had, how organized the process was, and how blessed I felt. I went with 17 other women for a "girls' night out" for our Sunday School class. We took a job and talked and laughed and worked....and packed a ton of meals for those poor hungry kiddos.

Christmas 2010 moments
We had a great time making rice krispy treat houses...these two had icing and candy going everywhere!
My sweet girl posed with two of her best friends before their church program. She is so blessed to have these little girls as buddies.
Little Miss really enjoyed her program at church - knew every word and every motion. I was told many times in our car, "Turn on my music, Mama, I need to practice." The girl was serious about some "Away in a Manger"...
My little man got very tired at Mamaw's house...even with children and adults all around him talking and playing.
Every year on Christmas Eve, Papaw reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas" - a precious tradition...
After church on Christmas Eve, our little family took a moment for a quick family picture.
Cade posed with his new bike!
Sydney was getting to know her new kitty...Miss Katiebell.
Charlie sure enjoyed his musical instruments.
Miss S was so excited to play in the snow in MS the day after Christmas...
Cade tested out his new bb gun in Pop's back yard...
Bear was pretty excited about the whole Christmas experience!
And, the Smith grandkids pic...these five sure are growing big - 14, 8, 7 , 4, and 1...where did the time go?!
Cade and Hardy Beth on Christmas night at the cabin...they love being together!
We had an amazing Christmas...we really planned to just sit back to enjoy each other this year...not overplan our holiday....we intentionally wanted to have the time to focus on each other and what is most important about Christmas....we had a beautiful, peaceful time celebrating Jesus' birthday and the blessings we have been given....I pray your Christmas was a time of celebration and reflection. Thanks for checking in on our family. Happy New Year!
