spring portrait time....
Well, we were given a free portrait sitting...so, we had to make good use of it. We haven't seen the photographer's pictures yet. But, here are a few that I took with the kiddos all dressed and in "cheeze" mode.

And, one of my personal favorites of my snapshots...this is what happens when a few too many photos are taken when you have multiple children...one being a 6 year old boy...someone ultimately gets the bunny ears!

a few Easter moments
This is a picture from Sydney's egg hunt at school. She had the best time! She had to show me what was inside each egg after I picked her up from preschool.
Easter morning...just gotta have a bed-head picture...
Charlie's first Easter - he was pumped about a new bottle, a couple of shirts, and some diapers...(please notice the Spiderman pjs my 5 month old is wearing...he's just getting too big)
Our annual church egg hunt got rained out...so sad. But, we had some friends come over to hunt eggs with us. These guys were so excited to find their eggs and get some playtime enjoying a beautiful day.

Happy Easter!
"Because He Lives...I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, He holds the future.
My life is worth the living...just because He lives."
We sang this hymn in church today and it has been ringing in my head all day. I remember loving this song as a little girl...sitting in my little white church by the stop sign. I always felt such a peace after singing it, yet a spirit of victory, of joy. I pray we all live every day claiming the victory that sweet Jesus gave us through his death and resurrection...because He lives!

Yeah, Spring!!!
I can tell it is Springtime when my children's eyes become matted shut in the mornings and coughs ring out from every room. These are my first signs that the leaves are about to be green, the flowers are about to bloom, and yellow dust is about to cover our world. I welcome those matted eyes and croupy coughs with a big smile. Welcome, Spring!!!!
Spring - all things become new. There is a sense of excitement, of awakening. I am amazed every day at how much greener the world is than the day before. I have a few favorite bushes/trees that I watch daily on my route to C's school. I anxiously await to see what beautiful artwork the Lord has given that day...truly amazing.
I pray that we look to each new day as a new adventure, a new chance to love on those around us, to grow, to bloom where we are planted, to enjoy God's beautiful creations around us.
Happy Spring!
