Kindergarten Graduation

My son is a kindergarten graduate! He had his last day of kindergarten yesterday and was ecstatic to be out of school for the summer. He has enjoyed his friends, his teachers were incredible, he has learned to read and write, and he has "grown up" so much this year. I was utterly amazed at all his teachers packed into one year for these kiddos' spiritual and academic growth. Last week, the two kindergarten classes put on a play called "Shine" which was about how the students had learned to shine for Jesus this year and are about to embark on a new adventure to keep shining for Him. The songs and dialogue was precious and surely brought a tear to this mommy's eye (of course). Then, the cuties came out in their caps and gowns to graduate. They received a diploma and even threw their hats!! The school then served us a nice lunch to celebrate....all day was so very special! My mom and dad and niece were able to come see it, which made the day even better. Here are a few pictures from C's big day.... Singing "I'm on my way..." The group cheered and sang "Give me a J, Give me an E, Give me an S, Give me a U, Give me an S" He was all boy, all of 5 years old....that diploma became a weapon and a horn before the last child had graduated...the trouble with being an "A" last name, hmmmmm....... C's teacher, Ms. Ginger, was wonderful! He told me today that she was going to be who he missed the most about his school. Pop and Gran with C Mommy and Daddy were so proud of the big guy! Yeah C!!
