Well, after much planning and talking and scheduling, we found a weekend to travel to the American Girl store and hotel for Little Miss's belated birthday weekend. My mom and I took S and my niece, Hardy Beth, to Atlanta to celebrate their birthdays together. They both had their dolls and were ready to shop with their birthday money!

After arriving, we looked around at all the pretty things. Then, we ate lunch in the American Girl Bistro. We had a fun time with the little doll high chairs and tea cups.

My girl really enjoyed feeding her doll, who she named Claire Grace. She was so excited to be there!

After lunch, we shopped and made some very fun decisions on outfits and accessories for the dolls. They both had had aunts and grandmothers give some birthday money for their little AG shopping trip (thanks so much!). We even had their hair done for the special day, thanks to Gran! They were so excited!

We then headed to our hotel where the girls and their dolls had a special check-in and welcome.

And, the room...well, the room was......PINK!! Ahhh!! They both just kept saying "Look, the bedspread, the pillows, the garbage can, the towels...all pink! It is all pink!"

So, after a good swim, warm shower, and yummy dinner, the girls got dressed in their matching pajamas and dressed their dolls in theirs too...and enjoyed the warm cookies and milk they were brought by the hotel. Yum!!

They were thrilled to find out they got to keep their doll beds. They did not get to keep the matching robes but sure enjoyed them for the moment. I think they look pretty happy and content!

What a fun, memorable weekend! I hope these two girls know how much Gran and I enjoyed watching their excitement. We had an amazing time all together celebrating our 5 and 9 year old blessings!
Happy Belated Birthday, Girls!!
Thanks for going with us, Gran!!
