Two mommies, four 4-6 year old boys, a 2 year old little girl, a picnic, a playground, and 2 gallons of blueberries....all make for a fun Wednesday morning outing. We went with our good friends, the Gaugers, blueberry picking this past week. We had so much fun!! It was in the low 80's - thank goodness....and we found tons of berries to pick. The boys had a great time being boys, of course. Cade loves playing with John, Jay, and Ryan. Sydney really got into the picking...I think she had more in her bucket than anyone by the end. She ate a good many too though....we won't talk about her tummy ache that afternoon....eek. Anyway, now we have to do something with all these berries....blueberry pound cake, blueberry pancakes, blueberry muffins, blueberry cobbler...a gallon of blueberries goes a lot farther than I imagined.....
Sydney and Ryan found the lower branches together...teamwork....
My handsome little berry picker doesn't even like blueberries...go figure....
After a couple of hours of hard labor, a juice box was needed before heading off to the picnic/playground. Yeah!...break time....blueberries, anyone?
